I'm Louise Gill, a mobile hair and makeup artist based in
Port Douglas, serving the Far North Queensland region.

Having worked in the industry for over 20 years I'm experienced in hair and makeup for all occasions - but specialize in natural/boho hair and makeup for tropical weddings here in Port Douglas.
​
My experience and dedication to quality give you peace of mind that you are
dealing with a professional, letting you relax and enjoy your special day.
If you are looking to create the perfect style, whether you are the bride, mother of the bride or groom; bridesmaid, or a wedding guest, I look forward to working with you to achieve the look you are after.

With my professional and technical training from the UK, which included fashion & photographic makeup, I moved on to specialist theatrical and media makeup. At the same time, I trained as a hairstylist in one of Londons' most prestigious salon schools based in Mayfair, where I was mentored by some of the best UK stylists
​
Soon after receiving my hair and makeup qualifications, I started my own hair & makeup business, working with a wide range of clients including weddings, media, and performing artists.
​
I never take for granted the trust my clients' place in me, when chosen as their hair and makeup artist for their Port Douglas wedding or event, and being mobile, I come to you at your hotel or preferred venue.

My priority is to create the look you want and to make sure you look stunning while still having fun and feeling relaxed. I want you to feel beautiful, confident and most importantly - yourself.

We will spend some time beforehand liaising to ensure we are both really clear as to what you want for yourself and the other stars of the show too.
When you first arrive in Port Douglas a trial session for the Bride is strongly recommended: to ensure everything is how you want it on Your Day.
With a well-stocked supply of high-quality brands such as MAC, Charlotte Tilbury, Hourglass Cosmetics, Laura Mercier, Tarte and Anastasia Beverly Hills to name a few.
These products, along with appropriate skin preparation, are important - even more so when considering the tropical climate of Far North Queensland.
You can also rest assured that hygiene is my strong focus when offering hair and makeup services.

Large group bookings can be accommodated for both hair and makeup. I have an incredibly talented team of artists that I work with; bringing you the highest skilled, educated, artistic talent for your group.
​Specializing in weddings and events,
I work closely with some of the larger Port Douglas hotels and resorts. I am also able to accommodate large group bookings for conferences and events.
